The Philosophy behind Learning – Love
Love is the universal solvent—it dissolves barriers, mends broken bonds and melts even the hardest of hearts. It creates the foundation for connection and understanding.
A mother, often regarded as the epitome of love, also plays the role of a child’s first teacher. This resonates with the truth that love is the foundation of all learning, a value that underpins the enhancement of knowledge. Lessons learned through love are the ones that remain etched in our hearts forever because true learning begins with the realization that we are deeply loved.
Every child is an institution in itself, unique and invaluable. It is like malleable clay, a divine gift from God, entrusted to us to shape and nurture. It therefore, becomes our profound responsibility to guide and refine these young minds, helping them discover their true potential and purpose.
This sacred duty requires the synchronized effort of the Head, the Heart and the Hand. When intellect, empathy and action work in harmony, they illuminate the path to self-realization for each child. With love and dedication, this labour of love ultimately leads to Peace, Progress and Prosperity for individuals and society alike.
It’s a reminder of the crucial role we play in shaping innocent souls into confident, compassionate and capable individuals.

The mission of DPS EOK is to create a unique learning environment where academic achievement is complemented by co-curricular opportunities, closer partnership between students, parents, staff and administration, creating opportunities for the young to succeed, innovate and enrich their lives, their communities and the world. An atmosphere where each and every child is catapulted from the shackles of blinkered thought to the blaze of knowledge is envisioned.
With this at the heart of education at DPSEOK, the learning process is naturally spiced with novel methodologies of blended learning integrating art, music and the spoken word. The air at the school teaches not to be afraid of seeking answers that the young questioning minds harbour. The value systems strive to ingrain truthfulness and honesty in expression, while rationality and logical thought is encouraged. Leadership development prospects prepare them to be global citizens.
The turn of the academic calendar, saw us all in one boat grappling with the turbulence caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Here, Louisa May Alcott’s high-minded aphorism ‘I’m not afraid of the storms for, I’m learning how to sail my ship’ is being unfastened from its anchor. The teaching-learning ambience created online, curates the students to move towards free exploration in e-laboratories and digital libraries. Sports, cultural and other art forms are also encouraged. Technology is at the free disposal of students to be partaken at the click of the mouse. This has further opened wondrous windows of the world into their study spaces furthering the school’s aim of exposing them to a global perspective.
’Service before Self’ has been the motto of Delhi Public School since its inception, a goalpost towards which we are constantly striding. It is an honour to be the Headmistress of this school, an institution that continuously sets the highest educational standards in the world.
In this mission, I am privileged to have with me the very best of faculty – qualified and experienced. Together with the help of the school management and the cooperation of the parents, we will strive to maintain the school’s highest standards.
