The World Through Little Eyes – Where Everything Still Feels Magical

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash hosted the Scholar Badge Ceremony 2026–27, a celebration of lifelong learning on August 1, 2026. The ceremony, centred around an enchanting theme, ‘The World Through Little Eyes – Where Everything Still Feels Magical’, reminded the audience that true learning begins with the curiosity and wonder of childhood. 

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the illumination of knowledge. The ceremony was graced by the presence of our Principal, Mr.Anil Kumar, Incharge, DPS East of Kailash, Ms. Dimple Menon, teachers and proud parents. Following the felicitation of the Principal, Ms. Dimple Menon addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of nurturing not only academic excellence but also the courage to dream.

The cultural presentation formed the heart of the ceremony. The Invocation Dance, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, resounded through the auditorium. A thoughtfully conceived skit explored the contrast between the hurried world of adults and the imaginative, joyful world of children, evoking a deep sense of nostalgia. A tableau of childhood games accompanied the soulful choir, followed by a vibrant dance performance on Feel the Magic, celebrating imagination and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for every child. The closing message encapsulated the spirit of the ceremony: Don’t teach us to grow out of wonder…teach us to grow with it.

The proud scholars were then invited to receive their Scholar Badges from the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, marking an important milestone in their educational journey. The ceremony celebrated not only their accomplishments but also the values that made those accomplishments possible.

The event concluded with the Principal’s address, encouraging students to pursue their dreams and aim for the stars. As the curtains fell, the message remained: the world is still magical—and perhaps the best way to see it is through little eyes.

The Class 1B assembly was a delightful and inspiring presentation that beautifully conveyed the importance of self-belief, perseverance, and resilience.The assembly began with a warm welcome by the students, followed by an engaging introduction to the day’s theme. Through simple, relatable examples such as learning to tie shoelaces, riding a bicycle and solving puzzles, the students highlighted how success comes through consistent effort and determination.

The morning prayer created a peaceful and positive atmosphere, encouraging everyone to begin the day with gratitude and devotion. An inspiring quote reminded the audience that winners are those who never give up. A charming skit about a little star doubting its own brightness effectively conveyed the message that every individual has unique strengths. The assembly also featured motivational quotes by renowned personalities such as Theodore Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela, and Arthur Ashe. The presentation was further enriched by the recitation of sacred shlokas and a melodious Bengali song, showcasing the students’ dedication and appreciation for cultural diversity. The students of Class I F proudly presented a delightful class assembly on the inspiring theme Stronger Together. The programme beautifully highlighted the importance of unity, teamwork and cooperation. The assembly commenced with a graceful Ganesh Vandana dance performance by Aadya Gupta, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha. This was followed by a confident presentation of the Thought of the Day by a group of students, encouraging everyone to work together. Emphasising that a strong nation begins with healthy and disciplined citizens, Shanaya, Khyati, and Vikhyat captivated the audience with an impressive yoga and gymnastics performance. The students then presented a meaningful skit that highlighted the power of unity and demonstrated how teamwork enables individuals to overcome difficulties and accomplish common goals. The programme continued with a melodious group song followed by an energetic group dance, celebrating the joy of togetherness and reinforcing the theme. The assembly concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Neha Duggal Ma’am, expressing sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme. The students of Class I E presented a heartwarming assembly on the theme Gratitude. The assembly began with a melodious group song expressing thankfulness, setting a positive tone for the audience. The young performers then showcased impressive yoga and gymnastic movements, highlighting the importance of health and discipline. A delightful skit on the Magic Words beautifully conveyed the values of kindness and good manners. Adding a special touch to the assembly, Adiv amazed everyone by solving a Pyraminx cube with remarkable speed and skill. The assembly concluded with an energetic dance performance by the entire class, leaving the audience inspired and filled with joy. The event beautifully emphasized the importance of being grateful in our everyday lives. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem followed by a group photograph.

Class II-E presented an inspiring morning assembly on the theme ‘Nature’s Cry, Our Reply,’ encouraging everyone to understand that protecting nature is our shared responsibility.

The assembly commenced with a warm welcome by the Class Teacher, followed by a serene Prayer, which filled the atmosphere with peace and positivity. This was followed by the Thought of the Day, inspiring everyone to care for nature and reminding us that the Earth is our home and it is our duty to protect it.

The students then presented a melodious Group Song that beautifully conveyed the message of love, gratitude and respect for Mother Nature. Their enthusiastic voices created an atmosphere of hope and unity.

The highlight of the assembly was a thought-provoking Act on ‘Save Trees,’ where the young performers effectively portrayed the importance of trees in sustaining life and urged everyone to plant more trees and work together to create a greener future. The powerful performance left a lasting impression on the audience and reinforced the message that saving trees means saving life.

The assembly also featured a delightful Talent Showcase, where students displayed their unique abilities through graceful Kathak, melodious Piano performance, and an impressive Hoopla presentation. 

The programme concluded with an energetic Group Dance by the entire class, celebrating the beauty of nature. 

The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Headmistress, teachers and parents for their constant encouragement and support before inviting the Headmistress to address the gathering. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem and the National Anthem followed by a group photograph.

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash organised the Third Language Festival for the students of Classes IV and V on 18 July 2026. The festival aimed to promote multilingual learning and global citizenship by providing students with immersive, activity-based experiences that brought German, Spanish, French and Sanskrit to life beyond the classroom.

The German Festival offered students an engaging glimpse into German culture through a variety of fun-filled games, interactive activities and creative displays. The beautifully arranged Bakery Corner, featuring cakes and baked treats inspired by German cuisine, emerged as one of the major attractions, alongside the popular Tattoo Corner. The cultural programme featured lively dance performances and melodious German songs that reflected the students’ enthusiasm and confidence. 

The French Language Festival captivated visitors with its colourful blend of language, art, music and cuisine. Students confidently showcased their linguistic abilities through French games, quizzes, a fashion walk, culinary presentations and character portrayals inspired by French culture. A beautifully decorated French Café recreated the charm and hospitality of France, allowing visitors to experience authentic French flavours. The cultural segment featured energetic dance performances to popular French songs, including Les Champs-Élysées, Magic in the Air, Olé Olé Olé, and Si tu es content et tu le sais. The celebrations were further enriched by a melodious French choir, whose soulful renditions created a delightful musical ambience. 

The Spanish Festival, themed “¡Viva España!”, introduced students to the vibrant traditions and heritage of Spain through an engaging combination of performances and interactive learning experiences. The event commenced with a warm welcome in Spanish, followed by an introduction to the country’s diverse culture. Students presented lively Spanish songs, rhymes, role-plays, and energetic Flamenco-inspired dance performances. Interactive learning stations enabled participants to explore Spanish greetings, numbers, colours, and everyday vocabulary through games and quizzes. Creative art-and-craft sessions, including the making of colourful Spanish fans and themed artwork, further enhanced the learning experience. Informative displays featuring Spanish landmarks, festivals, costumes and cuisine encouraged students to develop a deeper appreciation of Spanish culture.

The Sanskrit Language Festival celebrated India’s classical language and rich cultural heritage through a variety of educational and cultural presentations. Students participated enthusiastically in shloka recitation, Sanskrit plays, cultural dances, character portrayals, and a range of knowledge-based games and activities. The festival sought to strengthen students’ interest in Sanskrit while fostering an appreciation of Indian traditions, values, and cultural heritage. The thoughtfully designed activities helped nurture confidence, teamwork and a sense of pride in India’s linguistic legacy.

The Third Language Festival, reflecting the school’s commitment to providing holistic and culturally enriching educational opportunities, strengthened students’ language skills and broadened their global outlook.

Class III-F held an assembly on the theme ‘Honesty is the Best Policy.’ The assembly began with a meaningful thought. The students presented a beautiful poem and shared inspiring facts and incidents from the life of Mahatma Gandhi. A thought-provoking skit based on the story of Pinocchio illustrated the consequences of telling lies. The students enthralled the audience with a vibrant dance performance and a melodious song celebrating the values of honesty, kindness and goodness. In the end, the Supervisor, Ms. Neha Duggal, shared her words of wisdom and appreciated the sincere efforts and outstanding performances of the children. The assembly concluded with the school anthem, followed by the National Anthem and a class photograph to cherish the memorable occasion.

Through confident anchoring, students shared meaningful insights, inspiring everyone to become responsible caretakers of the environment. The assembly featured an engaging skit, a melodious song, thought-provoking news headlines, a nature poem, and a vibrant dance performance, all reinforcing the message of environmental conservation. The students conveyed that even small actions, such as planting trees, saving water, and reducing waste, can create a lasting positive impact. The programme concluded with expressions of gratitude, an inspiring address by the In- Charge, Ms. Dimple Menon, and the National Anthem, followed by the group photograph.

The students of Class I D presented a lively and engaging assembly on the theme ‘Health and Fitness’ to spread the message of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. The assembly commenced with a warm Invocation Dance followed by a soulful prayer. Through confident speeches, the children shared the importance of healthy eating, drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly, meditating, and maintaining a positive attitude. A vibrant Zumba performance, along with a colourful Health Heroes Parade, captivated the audience and highlighted the joy of staying fit. The interactive health trivia session with parents added excitement and encouraged everyone to reflect on healthy habits. The assembly concluded with the cheerful song ‘It’s a Beautiful Day,’ leaving the audience inspired to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The event was greatly appreciated by the Supervisor, teachers and parents, who applauded the children’s confidence, enthusiasm, and meaningful presentation. Class II-F presented the morning assembly on the theme ‘Change Begins With Me,’ inspiring everyone to believe that even small actions can create a positive impact.

The assembly began with a warm welcome by the Class Teacher, followed by a soulful recitation of a shlok from the Bhagavad Gita. The meaning of the shlok reminded everyone that positive change begins when we choose to do the right thing. Through thoughtful speeches, students encouraged the audience to reflect on the importance of kindness, empathy, courage, awareness and faith. A creative presentation, ‘Recipe for Change,’ beautifully illustrated how these values can come together to build a happier and more compassionate world. The choir’s rendition of ‘We Are the World’ filled the atmosphere with hope, followed by an energetic dance performance celebrating the joy of working together. The assembly also featured a Talent Showcase, where students impressed the audience with a graceful Kathak Fusion performance and an exciting Gymnastics display.The programme concluded with a School Anthem and the National Anthem. The event concluded with a class photograph of the students along with their parents, creating a cherished memory of the occasion.
