“Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence” -Vince Lombardi

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash hosted the Scholar Badge Ceremony Class IV and V, 2023-24 on 6th November 2024 to celebrate the scholarly merit and hard work of its student body. The event began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, the Principal of DPS R.K. Puram, Mr. Anil Kumar, the Headmistress, DPS East of Kailash, Ms. Usha Diptivilasa and the grandparents and students of DPS East of Kailash, followed by the Invocation Dance. Ms. Usha Diptivilasa felicitated the Principal and extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Her words of encouragement and commendation filled the young scholars with pride at their achievements and a zeal to continue their extraordinary efforts to aspire towards greater heights.

This was followed by a poem recitation based on the theme of the Scholar Badge Ceremony, The Moon is but a Chin of Gold which likened the fire in the young scholars to the luminescence of the moon. The poem was a true reflection of the bright young minds in attendance. The gathering was then shown a short video, a commemoration of school achievements, as well as the 50 Years’ Celebration of DPS East of Kailash. The videos showed glimpses of the EOK Carnival, the performance of ‘Aladdinn Reimagined’ and the many other fields in which the students continue to excel.

The school choir then enraptured the audience with a presentation of Dancing in the Moonlight, an apt depiction of the theme. This was followed by a riveting dance performance that amped up the energy in the scholars and their parents alike.

The Scholar Badge Ceremony then commenced, conducted by Ms. Monica Sharma, Ms Ruchira Bajpai and Ms. Salonee Puri, with the students receiving their certificates from the Principal and the Headmistress.

The Principal then applauded the hard work and dedication of the students and encouraged them to continue to work towards excellence. The ceremony came to a close with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Supervisor, Ms. Karuna Sharma, and the National Anthem.
