Celebrating science, technology and the curiosity that leads to human development, Delhi Public School, East of Kailash held a Bagless Day on 8th November. The students were shown a presentation on pathbreaking scientists and their invaluable discoveries and inventions. The students of different classes then participated in quizzes on various themes.
It is never too early to encourage a scientific bent of mind, and so the students of Nursery, Prep and Class I performed fun based and simple science experiments. Students of Class II worked with natural materials and ended the day with vegetable printing. Class III students combined fun with science and performed experiments based on water. Class IV took an educational trip to the National Science Centre and explored the different activities and exhibitions there. The students of Class V made sundials and learned how they work. Honouring the scientists of the past, and encouraging the little innovators of today, Class V C held a special assembly on the theme of Science Day.
The occasion of the International Science Day allowed the students to gain indispensable hands-on experience which helped them develop critical thinking skills.
