The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi Public School, East of Kailash took place on 16th May 2025. The young leaders, agents of change, progress and innovation embodied the theme, ‘Be the Change’.
The event began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, the Principal of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, Mr. Anil Kumar, and the Headmistress, DPS East of Kailash, Ms. Usha Diptivilasa. This was followed by the felicitation of the Principal. The Delhi Public School, East of Kailash Orchestra opened the ceremony and held the audience spellbound with a melodious rendition in the Hindustani Classical style.
Upholding the ideals that the Student Council must abide by, the Headmistress, Ms. Usha Diptivilasa addressed the gathering, and encouraged the students to be the change they wish to see in the world. Her words struck a chord with everyone in attendance. Following the address, the stage reverberated with shloka chants which were accompanied by a dance. The students then gave a powerful dance performance on ‘I am Alive, I can Fly’, rousing everyone to always reach for the stars.
The synchronised march of the Student Council, along with the Presidents, Vice Presidents and Prefects of the various Clubs and Societies, showcased their discipline and focus. The newly invested students turned to their parents and teachers with a sense of achievement and pride in their eyes. The students took the DPS Oath and solemnly listened to the words of advice from the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar. The School Choir sang ‘Change the World’, an in-house original composition, motivating the newly appointed leaders to be a voice of change. The Student Council then addressed the gathering, speaking on the values they hold dear. The Ceremony wrapped up with the newly invested students ready to take on their new roles.
