Delhi Public School, East of Kailash conducted a celestial observation evening in collaboration with SPACE Technology & Education Pvt. Ltd. on 23rd February 2026. The students learned about different constellations, planets and their moons through an audio-visual presentation. A live demonstration helped the students better understand why the moon has different phases. Then, the students gathered in the football field to observe earth’s moon and learned about how craters are made. The students also observed Jupiter and its visible moons, along with the constellation Orion.
The students then gathered for ‘Making Moon Craters’ where they recreated the moon’s surface and learnt how craters are formed due to meteors. At the end of the evening the students discussed what they had learnt and shared their thoughts with their peers. It was an enriching experience which ignited the fire of curiosity in their young minds.
