The Investiture Ceremony of Delhi Public School, East of Kailash was held on 14th May 2026. The theme of the event was taken from Emily Dickinson’s poem, ‘I dwell in Possibilities’ – words that will become the guiding mantra for the young change makers.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the Headmistress, DPS East of Kailash, Ms. Usha Diptivilasa, the Supervisor, Ms. Dimple Menon and respected grandparents. The chanting of the shloka followed and brought calm to everyone’s hearts. The Delhi Public School, East of Kailash Orchestra opened the ceremony with a composition which combined elements from Carnatic and Hindustani Classical music.
Then, the Headmistress, Ms. Usha Diptivilasa addressed the gathering, reminding the students how, with great power, comes great responsibility. Following the address, the young actors took over the stage and put up a dance drama titled ‘The Power Within You.’
As the students marched in, led by the Student Council, the parents beamed with joy and pride. The newly invested students turned to their parents and teachers with a sense of achievement in their eyes as they took the DPS Oath. The Student Council then addressed the gathering, speaking on the values they hold dear. The Ceremony wrapped up with the newly invested students ready to take on their new roles.
