Third Language Festival 2026–27

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash organised the Third Language Festival for the students of Classes IV and V on 18 July 2026. The festival aimed to promote multilingual learning and global citizenship by providing students with immersive, activity-based experiences that brought German, Spanish, French and Sanskrit to life beyond the classroom.
The German Festival offered students an engaging glimpse into German culture through a variety of fun-filled games, interactive activities and creative displays. The beautifully arranged Bakery Corner, featuring cakes and baked treats inspired by German cuisine, emerged as one of the major attractions, alongside the popular Tattoo Corner. The cultural programme featured lively dance performances and melodious German songs that reflected the students’ enthusiasm and confidence.
The French Language Festival captivated visitors with its colourful blend of language, art, music and cuisine. Students confidently showcased their linguistic abilities through French games, quizzes, a fashion walk, culinary presentations and character portrayals inspired by French culture. A beautifully decorated French Café recreated the charm and hospitality of France, allowing visitors to experience authentic French flavours. The cultural segment featured energetic dance performances to popular French songs, including Les Champs-Élysées, Magic in the Air, Olé Olé Olé, and Si tu es content et tu le sais. The celebrations were further enriched by a melodious French choir, whose soulful renditions created a delightful musical ambience.
The Spanish Festival, themed “¡Viva España!”, introduced students to the vibrant traditions and heritage of Spain through an engaging combination of performances and interactive learning experiences. The event commenced with a warm welcome in Spanish, followed by an introduction to the country’s diverse culture. Students presented lively Spanish songs, rhymes, role-plays, and energetic Flamenco-inspired dance performances. Interactive learning stations enabled participants to explore Spanish greetings, numbers, colours, and everyday vocabulary through games and quizzes. Creative art-and-craft sessions, including the making of colourful Spanish fans and themed artwork, further enhanced the learning experience. Informative displays featuring Spanish landmarks, festivals, costumes and cuisine encouraged students to develop a deeper appreciation of Spanish culture.
The Sanskrit Language Festival celebrated India’s classical language and rich cultural heritage through a variety of educational and cultural presentations. Students participated enthusiastically in shloka recitation, Sanskrit plays, cultural dances, character portrayals, and a range of knowledge-based games and activities. The festival sought to strengthen students’ interest in Sanskrit while fostering an appreciation of Indian traditions, values, and cultural heritage. The thoughtfully designed activities helped nurture confidence, teamwork and a sense of pride in India’s linguistic legacy.
The Third Language Festival, reflecting the school’s commitment to providing holistic and culturally enriching educational opportunities, strengthened students’ language skills and broadened their global outlook.
