The students of Class V A presented a heartfelt and inspiring class assembly on the theme ‘Everyday Heroes, Extraordinary Lives’, paying tribute to those who serve, care, protect and inspire us through their everyday actions. The assembly began with a prayer, followed by the Thought for the Day which emphasised that true heroism lies in the strength of one’s heart and in acts of kindness, courage and selflessness. This was followed by a melodious rendition of ‘Count on Me’ by Bruno Mars, celebrating the people who stand by us and offer their support when we need them. The students then presented a series of engaging enactments portraying different everyday heroes. The students also paid tribute to the farmers, doctors, policemen and school helpers highlighting their hard work and perseverance. The students then presented the poignant poem ‘Heroes Without Capes’, which beautifully brought together the many forms of heroism found in everyday life. The assembly subsequently moved into a vibrant Talent Show. The performances included Kathak and Bharatnatyam, keyboard and guitar, gymnastics, skating, yoga and a solo song performance. The assembly continued with an energetic dance performance on ‘All for One’, celebrating friendship, hope, courage and togetherness. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem followed by the National Anthem.
