Theme: In a Galaxy Far Far Away

The students of Class V D presented an assembly on the theme ‘In a Galaxy Far, Far Away’, taking the audience on an inspiring journey through the worlds of science, discovery, imagination and creativity. The assembly highlighted how curiosity and the courage to dream have driven some of humanity’s greatest discoveries. The students emphasised that every great invention begins with a question and that the courage to imagine the impossible. The programme commenced with a graceful Durga Invocation Dance, followed by a prayer. This was followed by an inspirational quote by Albert Einstein on the importance of imagination, setting the tone for the assembly. A melodious musical presentation further enriched the theme. The students then brought the world of scientific discovery alive through engaging portrayals of renowned scientists. Galileo Galilei spoke about his observations of the Milky Way through his telescope, while Marie Curie inspired the audience with her message that knowledge can replace fear. The Wright Brothers showcased the importance of perseverance and overcoming the fear of failure. The assembly then moved into a vibrant Talent Show – ‘A Sky Full of Stars’. The performances included hula hoop and hoverboard, Kathak, football skills, skipping and skating, singing, piano performances and a tile-breaking act. The celebration of creativity continued with a lively dance performance. The students subsequently paid tribute to several scientists and pioneers who changed the world. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem followed by the National Anthem.
