ACADEMIC FAIR 2025-26

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash successfully hosted the Academic Fair on 9 January 2026 with the objective of encouraging experiential learning and fostering creativity. The Fair aimed to integrate academics with creativity, innovation, and confidence-building activities. Students from Classes IV and V participated enthusiastically, presenting a wide range of subject-based exhibits, performances, and interactive activities across different academic areas.

Panchatantra Role Plays – Class IV

The students of Class IV presented engaging role plays based on Panchatantra stories and displayed their skills on the stage. 

IV A: The Lion and the Foolish Deer – A powerful message on alertness and wisdom, highlighting how carelessness can lead to danger.

IV B: The Farmer and His Four Sons – A meaningful portrayal of unity and togetherness as a source of strength.

IV C: The Two Crows and the Evil Snake – A lesson on intelligence and presence of mind in overcoming evil.

IV D: The Lion and the Mouse – A heart-warming story emphasizing kindness, gratitude, and the impact of small good deeds.

IV E: The Foolish Brahmin – A humorous yet instructive play highlighting the importance of thoughtful decision-making.

Stage Performances – Class V

As part of the Academic Fair, each section of Class V presented a unique theatrical performance based on fairy tales and children’s stories. The plays helped the students improvise props and hone their dialogue delivery. 

V A: The Blue Umbrella – A touching story set in the hills, promoting kindness and generosity.

V B: Swami and His Friends – A lively depiction of childhood adventures.

V C: Alice in Learning Land – A creative academic twist on the classic tale.

V D: The Pied Piper – A thought-provoking play raising questions of morality and honesty.

V E: Akbar and Birbal – A witty and wise presentation highlighting intelligence and justice.

V F: Red Riding Hood – A modern twist to the tale, highlighting the impact of human encroachment on forests.

Mathematics Activities

The Mathematics stalls demonstrated the relevance of mathematics in everyday life and made maths both fun and engaging. Games based on famous mathematical puzzles like the Srinivasa Ramanujan Project and the Number Line games made abstract concepts concrete. The Ice Cream Sticks and Symmetry puzzles were head scratchers for all age groups. The Math games helped students connect math to their lives and their own experiences. 

English Activities

The English section of the Academic Fair provided students with opportunities to enhance language skills through interactive and engaging activities. Learning was taken beyond textbooks to practical application. Grammar based concepts were gamified through Spin the Wheel and hopscotch, while vocabulary building activities like the Fishing Game and Joggle Pop were fun for everyone. Quizzes and idioms dumb charades were a challenge that the students picked up with eagerness. Parents and students participated enthusiastically and received stars and candies for their participation. 

EVS Activities

The EVS stalls zeroes on environmental awareness and the students’ role in protecting it. Working models of the water cycle, electric circuit and hydraulic lifts were impressive examples of the students’ hard work and research. Composting and sustainable fashion formed an important part of presentation as well with Reduce-Reuse-Recycle being central to all displays. The students used eco-friendly low cost materials in their displays and confidently explained the workings of their different models. 

Hindi Activities

The Hindi section presented an array of language-based activities such as Kathasagar, recitation of dohas, theatrical performances, Visheshan Sargam, unique riddles, chart presentations, model exhibitions, pictorial idioms, quick word formation and letter Snakes and Ladders. The students displayed their acumen in the language by conducting the games and participating enthusiastically in the cultural activities. Their positive attitude and stage presence brought zeal and energy to the Hindi section, with the various stalls buzzing with activity and colour. 

The Academic Fair 2026 provided a platform for students to integrate knowledge with creativity. The enthusiastic participation of students and the active involvement of parents made the event impactful and gave a glimpse of the activities that make learning fun for the students. Such initiatives nurture innovation and creativity in the students and help them develop soft skills, research skills and teamwork that prepare them for the future.
