Earth Day Celebration 22/4/26

Delhi Public School, East of Kailash celebrated Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with a range of engaging activities aimed to encourage students to adopt sustainable practices. The celebration began with a special assembly that encouraged everyone to become Earth Warriors. The youngest learners of Balvatika -1 created a vibrant Earth mural using green and blue handprints to represent land and water. Students of Class II marked the occasion with the activity ‘My Happy Earth Badge.’ They crafted and decorated smiling Earth badges and wrote simple promises to the Earth. Class III students took part in ‘Earth in My Hands.’ Each child created a cutout of the Earth surrounded by their handprints. On each finger, they wrote practical ways to protect the planet, such as recycling, composting etc. Students of Class IV engaged in the ‘Trash to Tales’ activity, where they transformed waste materials into creative puppets. Class V conducted a Show and Tell activity based on the concept of the Three Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), showcasing items made from recycled materials and spoke about their creations. Through creative expression and active participation, students across all classes pledged to be responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.
