3. Age Criteria:

Age : 3 years by 31st March of the year 2020 and less than 04 years as on 31st March 2020 with a relaxation of 30 days on both sides as per DOE circular No. F.DE15()/PSB/2019/13009-014 dated 22/11/19 (Para 4,5 & 6) and subsequent circular No. F.DE15(62)/PSB/2019/13059 – 64 dated 25/11/2019.

It also includes instructions of DOE Order NO. F./DE/15/1031/ACT/2007/7002 dated 24.11.2007 and order dated 18.12.2015 quoted in circular dated 26.11.2018 and F.DE.15(172)/PSB/2016/12671-81 dated 13.11.2019

4. Registration

Registration for the applicants under General Category will be completely Online on the school website  www.dpsrkp.net . There will be no paper form for the registration.

Important:

  • There is NO FEE charged for the Online Registration.

  • There are three steps of registration [Step 1] [Step 2] [Step 3 – Registration Complete]

  • Registration will only be considered complete when you receive a Registration Number in Step 3.

  • It is a must for the applicant to take a print out of Step 3 carrying the Registration Number on it.

  • Duplicate registration will automatically amount to the cancellation of any one of the registrations of the applicant.

  • Apply for admission to only one of the two Junior Schools (DPS East of Kailash OR DPS Vasant Vihar). Applications submitted in both the schools will result in the CANCELLATION of both the applications.

5. Neighbourhood Consideration

6. Essential Documents Required

The applicants shall produce the relevant documents in original at the time of verification along with a set of SELF ATTESTED photocopies listed below as and when required by the school (Refer point 7 (iii)). Kindly note these are not required at the time of online registration.

Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation with the NAME of the child mentioned on the certificate.

Proof of residence (Minimum 2 out of the following)

  • Ration card/Smart Card issued in the name of parents (mother/father having name of the child.)

  • Domicile certificate of child or his / her parents.

  • Voter Identity Card /EPIC of any of the parents.

  • Electricity Bill / MTNL Telephone Bill / Water Bill / Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.

  • Aadhar Card / Unique Identity Card in the name of any of the parents.

FOR SIBLING – A copy of the Fee Bill / RFID Card issued by the school office for the Academic Session 2019-2020.

FOR ALUMNI (OF DPS RK PURAM ONLY) – A copy of the pass certificate of X / XII issued by CBSE.

  • Admission to the school is subject to verification of the documents listed above, and submission of a letter of undertaking, self-attested by both the parents in front of the verification team. The undertaking should clearly certify that the information given is correct and the documents submitted are true copies of the original.

  • This undertaking will also imply that the parents accept the decision of the school to cancel the registration / admission as final and binding, if at any given time any information or document submitted is found to be wrong/fake/false/incorrect.

 

7. Steps involved in the Admission Process for GENERAL CATEGORY:

At the first instance, the names of the ‘SHORT-LISTED’ applicants who have higher value points/  above the cut-off i.e. above the points of other applicants will be put up. The ‘GENERAL Category LIST FOR DRAW OF LOTS’ (for applicants with same value points in a tie for remaining seats) will also be put up.

NOTE:

Criteria for Twins: In the case of twins, if one is selected the other twin will get sibling points. In a situation of draw of lots, the names of both will be considered in a single chit. Either both will be selected or both will not be considered for admission.

The details and schedule (date, time & venue) of the ‘GENERAL CATEGORY DRAW OF LOTS’ will be available on the school website dpsrkp.net. Kindly note that SMS and/or Email will not be sent separately to intimate the same. 

  • The draw will be held using a random method, in public view and with complete transparency. 

  • The date and time (schedule) for the verification of documents for applicants within the zone of consideration will be displayed on the school website within 24 hrs. of the draw of lots.  

  • The school will not accept any request for a change of date or time of verification. Do not miss out on this opportunity.

The verification process of the documents will be held in the respective Junior Schools as per the assigned date & time.

 

Please note – 

  • Both the parents of the applicant must be present to submit the self-attested copies of the above listed documents and to sign the letter of undertaking in the presence of the verification team.

  • In case, the parents of the applicant do not report for the verification of documents on the assigned date and time, their application will stand cancelled without any intimation from the school.

FIRST LIST – The First List of PROVISIONALLY SELECTED CHILDREN & WAITLISTED CHILDREN will be displayed on the school website for further completion of formalities i.e. filling up of the Admission Form, submission of true copies, verification of Original Certificates, medical formalities and fee deposit.

SECOND LIST – After assessing the vacancies, the Second List (if any) of PROVISIONALLY SELECTED CHILDREN will be declared as per schedule. Accordingly, the positions of the waitlisted children under the GENERAL CATEGORY LIST will move up. In case of any further vacancies the 3rd, 4th, 5th lists will be declared.
