On 16th October 2025, the children of Class II took everyone on a magical journey to the world of fairy tales in their Annual Day production “Once Upon a Time…”. The event began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Headmistress, Ms. Usha Diptivilasa. She then addressed the gathering and welcomed the parents to the special event. With bright costumes and endless excitement, the little performers brought to life some of the most loved stories — Snow White, Goldilocks, The Wizard of Oz, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel and Alice in Wonderland.
Each tale was beautifully presented, reminding us that bravery, kindness and curiosity always take us to wonderful places. The children sang, danced, acted and filled the stage with joyful colours. Through their performances, they shared a lovely message that magic still exists. It was truly a day of wonder, laughter and learning- a perfect fairy tale celebration!
The students of Class II F presented a delightful class assembly on the inspiring theme ‘You Are a Rainbow of Possibilities.’ The program beautifully conveyed the message that each child is unique and full of potential, just like the many colors that form a rainbow. The assembly began with confident compering by the young hosts. A heartfelt recitation by the students emphasized hope, positivity, and the importance of believing in oneself. This was followed by a melodious group song that filled the hall with warmth and togetherness. The dance performance was vibrant and colourful and was met with enthusiastic applause. What made the assembly especially memorable was the display of individual talents—each child contributed in their own way through dance performances or playing musical instruments. The program was a resounding success, leaving everyone inspired by the message that we all carry endless possibilities within us. The assembly began with a prayer, followed by a unique and creative skit. All the children portrayed robotic characters powered by AI that were used to explain the theme of unity in diversity. Following the skit, the students presented a dance performance, representing various traditions and regions. It was a lively and joyful celebration of diversity through music and movement. A few students delivered short speeches and quotes on unity, peace, and mutual respect, reinforcing the message that our diversity is a strength, not a barrier. The assembly concluded with a group song promoting togetherness and harmony. Finally, a mini talent show allowed students to present unique skills influenced by different cultures, such as musical instruments, language recitations, and traditional attire.

The students of Class II D conducted a thoughtful and inspiring assembly on the theme ‘Courage in Small Steps.’ The programme began with a prayer that set a serene tone followed by a graceful Guru Vandana dance. A lively news segment shared updates on the weather and school activities. The highlight of the morning was a creative role play, where real-life heroes such as Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg, and Deepa Malik came alive on stage, sharing their journeys and reminding everyone that courage knows no age or size.
This was followed by a skit inspired by the story of Hansel and Gretel, where the young actors conveyed that true courage is not found in treasure chests but within themselves. Students further expressed themselves through poem recitations, a delightful talent show and a vibrant group dance. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem followed by a group photograph.
TOPIC: FROM STRUGGLE TO STRENGTH – INDIA’S JOURNEY OF INDEPENDENCE

The students of Classes II B and II C presented a vibrant and patriotic assembly on the theme ‘From Struggle to Strength – India’s Journey of Independence.’ The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by melodious verses and a soulful rendition of ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’ sung in unison.The first act, ‘Oppression Under British Rule’, depicted the hardships faced by Indians during colonial times. This was followed by ‘The Rise of Heroes’, where students confidently enacted the roles of Rani Lakshmibai, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh and Sarojini Naidu, bringing alive the spirit of sacrifice and courage. A powerful dance mash-up by the boys showcased unity and valour, while inspiring narrations highlighted the contributions of freedom fighters. The programme moved into India Awakens, recreating Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s historic speech ‘Tryst with Destiny’. The girls presented a lively dance on ‘Desh Mera Rangeela’, celebrating independent India. This was followed by a beautifully presented ‘Tableau of Progressive India’, where students showcased themes such as Digital India, Women Empowerment, Sports Achievements, Swachh Bharat and Equal Opportunities. The assembly concluded with a unifying finale where all students came together for a spirited performance on an A.R. Rahman composition, leaving the audience inspired and full of patriotic fervour. The students of II A participated enthusiastically in the class assembly on the theme ‘It’s Pouring Friendship’. The assembly began with an invocation to Lord Ganesha with a shloka. This was followed by a dance recital to pay a tribute to the gurus. The students sang a happy song, ‘It’s Beautiful…’ which resonated in the arena as well as the hearts of the audience. This was followed by a skit presented by the students who enjoyed dressing up as animals, trees and forest keepers. The moral of the story was to make friends and value friendship. The highlight of the assembly was the audience interaction. The students asked riddles based on the theme. Parents and teachers enjoyed the spontaneous atmosphere and participated enthusiastically. The last segment had the students swaying to a fun monsoon themed song on friendship.
The students not only enjoyed themselves but also learned lessons on behaving nicely with their friends and peer group. The display boards showcased posters and artwork of the students which highlighted the importance of kindness and being helpful. The Third Language Fest, held on 12th July 2025 gave the students of Delhi Public School, East of Kailash a chance to showcase their language skills. The students of Classes IV and V participated enthusiastically to make it a memorable experience.
Sanskrit
Honouring the cultural heritage of India, the students studying Sanskrit, recited shlokas and poems. They displayed various plants and spoke about their importance in Ayurveda. They decorated the school with Sanskrit calligraphy displaying the varnmala, common words and idioms. Different games and activities helped the parents and children engage with Sanskrit and pick up a few phrases too!
Spanish
The Spanish students opened a cafe to serve the local cuisine of Spain. They brought the culture of Spain to their school with Flamenco dance and folk music which left the attendees mesmerised. Games like Spanish Bingo and Guess the Monument brought the language closer to the parents and children while a football match brought the spirit of the country to the school with many cheers and lots of fun.
French
To promote the richness of the French language and culture among students, the program opened with games followed by dance performances and a French Play. The French café setup, ‘Café de Paris’, was a major highlight, offering students and parents a delightful experience of French bakery items. The dance performances brought the culture to life for the audiences while the play showed how emotions know no language. The event not only enhanced students’ love for the French language but also deepened their understanding of French traditions, art and lifestyle.
German
The German students opened a German bakery to serve the local cuisine of Germany, featuring delicious pretzels and baked goods. They brought the vibrant culture of Germany to their school with lively music performances, which left the attendees thoroughly entertained. Engaging activities based on German vocabulary and geography helped bring the language and culture closer to both parents and children. Laughter, learning, and loud cheers filled the air, making it a fun and memorable celebration of the German language and culture.
The assembly of V F was based on the theme of ‘Fantasy and Wonder’ which aimed to highlight the importance of imagination and books in our lives. The assembly began with the prayer ‘O Palanhare’. The students then presented a ‘Fantasy Fanatics’ show where children dressed as different characters and authors and quizzed their classmates. This was followed by two dance performances by the students – one, on the ‘Harry Potter’ theme and the other on ‘Alice in Wonderland’. The students then shared quotes and thoughts on the power of imagination and its impact on the world. A Talent Show gave the students an opportunity to display their skills on various instruments such as the violin and guitar. The talent and passion of the students left the audience spellbound. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem and a group photograph.
The assembly opened with a very positive thought on togetherness. The theme of the assembly was ‘TOGETHER WE RISE’. The day started with a prayer to the divine Almighty with a powerful shlok. The children then presented a very informative news update. The next act was a skit emphasizing the power of togetherness depicted on the topic of cleanliness. This was followed by a group song presented by the students titled So Let’s All Come Together which left everyone spellbound. An acrostic poem was presented on the topic ‘Together We Rise’ which gave some valuable insights on the theme too. The children then presented a talent show with the children showcasing various exhibits like gymnastics, skating, keyboard playing, ballet dances to name a few. This was followed by a glorious group dance performance by the children of class VE. The assembly concluded with the School Anthem followed by a group photograph.
The class assembly was held on the theme, ‘Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Differences’. The aim was to highlight the need to celebrate the things that make us unique.The assembly began with a peaceful prayer to invoke the blessings of the Almighty, chanted by all the students. Four students shared powerful thoughts of the day to start on a note of positivity after the prayer. The entire class then participated in a choral recitation of the poem ‘Celebrating Differences’ to highlight the theme of the day. Ten students took the mic to speak about the rich culture of the states they originally belong to. They highlighted the uniqueness of their states but concluded that they were proud to be Indians. Next, the students performed a joyful dance to the song ‘Unity in Diversity’ that amply showed off their grace and rhythm. After the dance, the song ‘We are the Dreamers’ enthralled the audience with its powerful melody and lyrics. The Talent Show gave the students a chance to showcase their talents.
