The students of Class V were taken on an outing to DPS RK Puram to familiarise them with the space and the teachers. The students went to the classrooms and saw the Class VI Block. They were shown different buildings and learned about the school layout. They were then shown the Sports Complex where the students had a picnic and played outdoor games with each other. Afterwards, the students learnt about the different sports that are offered in the school and tried their hand at them. They asked questions about the rules and equipment related to the different sports. On reaching DPS East of Kailash, the students wrote about their favourite sport and discussed their experience in the class.
Delhi Public School, East of Kailash conducted a celestial observation evening in collaboration with SPACE Technology & Education Pvt. Ltd. on 23rd February 2026. The students learned about different constellations, planets and their moons through an audio-visual presentation. A live demonstration helped the students better understand why the moon has different phases. Then, the students gathered in the football field to observe earth’s moon and learned about how craters are made. The students also observed Jupiter and its visible moons, along with the constellation Orion.
The students then gathered for ‘Making Moon Craters’ where they recreated the moon’s surface and learnt how craters are formed due to meteors. At the end of the evening the students discussed what they had learnt and shared their thoughts with their peers. It was an enriching experience which ignited the fire of curiosity in their young minds.
The students of Class V were taken on a visit to the New Parliament building as part of an educational field trip organised by the school. The visit aimed to help students understand the functioning of the Indian government and learn about the importance of democracy. The students were accompanied by teachers and school staff. The students visited the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha and learned about the architecture and the historical significance of the building. Functionaries explained the roles of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and how laws are made in the country. The students were especially excited to see the grand halls, artworks and national symbols displayed inside the Parliament. The visit was both informative and inspiring. Students asked many questions and showed great curiosity to learn about how the nation is governed.
Delhi Public School, East of Kailash organised a visit to the Blind School on 30/01/2026. Under this initiative, members of the Inclusive Education Club along with the students of Class V were taken to the Blind Relief Association, Mathura Road. During the visit, the students interacted with the visually impaired students and listened to their daily life experiences. As a token of love and support, the students of the school presented cricket bats to the students of the blind school. The students also observed various skill development programmes conducted there, such as paper bag making, candle making, cloth bag making, and clay diya making. They understood how visually impaired children are gaining proficiency in these skills. The students also learned about Braille script during the visit. DPS East of Kailash is committed to building an inclusive learning environment. The visit gave the students a new perspective and allowed them to interact with people from different walks of life.
An educational visit to the Gandhi Museum was organised on 5 February 2026 for the students of Class III with the objective of familiarising them with the life, values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The visit was an enriching learning experience for the students. They were shown various galleries displaying photographs, letters and personal belongings of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum guides explained the exhibits in a simple and engaging manner, helping the children understand Gandhiji’s ideals of truth, non-violence, simplicity and self-discipline. Students listened attentively and showed great curiosity by asking questions. They were especially fascinated by stories from Gandhiji’s childhood and his efforts to bring about social change. The visit helped reinforce classroom learning and encouraged students to reflect on patriotism and responsible citizenship.
The Annual Sports Day of Class IV was celebrated on 4 February 2026 with great enthusiasm and zeal at Delhi Public School, East of Kailash. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the Class IV Representative who encouraged the students to participate with confidence. The event kicked off with a Balloon Release, symbolising the boundless aspirations of the students. The atmosphere was further enlivened by the impressive March Past by the Class IV Contingent. The students then pledged to uphold the values of honesty and fair play. The audience was captivated by ‘Echoes of the Black Belt’, a powerful taekwondo performance by IV F. This was followed by ‘Crease to Glory’ , a dynamic drill by IV C. Adding colour and grace to the celebration was ‘Umbrellas in Sync’, a beautifully coordinated dance performance by IV D. The energy levels soared with ‘Zumba Zest’ by the students of IV A. The spirit of determination and motivation was highlighted through the cheer leading dance by IV B ‘Spark the Spirit’ followed by the high-energy performance ‘Roar of Victory’ by the students of IV E. The young champions were then felicitated at the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The event came to a close with ‘Wavin’ Flag – A Victory Song’. The students then gathered for the Vote of Thanks by the Supervisor Ms. Karuna Sharma, followed by the National Anthem. The Annual Sports Day encouraged healthy competition amongst the students and was a celebration of true sportsman spirit.
The Class III Annual Day, titled ‘Dastaan-e-Safarnama’, was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 30th January 2026 . The programme beautifully showcased unity in diversity through a series of vibrant performances. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by a welcome address by the representative of Class III. The cultural programme unfolded as a journey across continents. ‘Shandaar Sufi’, a poetic introduction, set the tone for the evening, followed by a soul-stirring Sufi dance by III-A. ‘Khoobsurat Cheen’, presented by III-B, brought alive the ancient culture of China. The audience was then captivated by ‘Roshni-e-Spain’, a high-energy Flamenco performance by III-D. ‘Hara-Bhara Africa’ by III-F showcased Africa’s rich musical heritage. The journey continued with ‘Dilnashin London’, an engaging performance by III-C, portraying the modern charm and cultural diversity of London. The programme concluded with ‘Hindustan-e-Duniya’ by III-E, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage through a traditional Punjabi dance. In the Grand Finale, the students came together to take an Oath of World Peace, pledging their dedication to global brotherhood. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Supervisor, followed by the School Anthem and the National Anthem. The Annual Day gave the students a platform to showcase their creativity and collaborative spirit and made them global citizens.
The Prep Sports Day Opening Ceremony was organised with great enthusiasm at Delhi Public School, East of Kailash. The programme aimed to promote physical fitness and confidence among the young learners and set the stage for the upcoming Sports Week. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by the students, followed by an inspiring address by the Headmistress, who highlighted the importance of sports in the holistic development of children. The Principal and the Headmistress then lit the ceremonial Torch of Victory, symbolising the spirit of healthy competition. The impressive March Past by the Peppy Preppers showcased their discipline and enthusiasm, while the Exercise Song set the tone for the sports extravaganza. The Little Yogis from Prep D captivated the audience through an engaging Animal Yoga presentation. The Cheerful Champs of Prep B filled the atmosphere with excitement through their spirited chants. The Zesty Zoomers from Prep A blended Zumba, Taekwondo and Mass Drill in a high energy performance. This was followed by a lively dance by the Smiley Winners of Prep C. Finally, the Dream Chasers from Early Years 2 celebrated the joy of movement with a graceful dance. The ceremony concluded with a rendition of the Prep Anthem followed by the School Anthem and the Vote of Thanks by the Supervisor.

The students of Class IV presented engaging role plays based on Panchatantra stories and displayed their skills on the stage.
IV A: The Lion and the Foolish Deer – A powerful message on alertness and wisdom, highlighting how carelessness can lead to danger.
IV B: The Farmer and His Four Sons – A meaningful portrayal of unity and togetherness as a source of strength.
IV C: The Two Crows and the Evil Snake – A lesson on intelligence and presence of mind in overcoming evil.
IV D: The Lion and the Mouse – A heart-warming story emphasizing kindness, gratitude, and the impact of small good deeds.
IV E: The Foolish Brahmin – A humorous yet instructive play highlighting the importance of thoughtful decision-making.
Stage Performances – Class V
As part of the Academic Fair, each section of Class V presented a unique theatrical performance based on fairy tales and children’s stories. The plays helped the students improvise props and hone their dialogue delivery.
V A: The Blue Umbrella – A touching story set in the hills, promoting kindness and generosity.
V B: Swami and His Friends – A lively depiction of childhood adventures.
V C: Alice in Learning Land – A creative academic twist on the classic tale.
V D: The Pied Piper – A thought-provoking play raising questions of morality and honesty.
V E: Akbar and Birbal – A witty and wise presentation highlighting intelligence and justice.
V F: Red Riding Hood – A modern twist to the tale, highlighting the impact of human encroachment on forests.
Mathematics Activities
The Mathematics stalls demonstrated the relevance of mathematics in everyday life and made maths both fun and engaging. Games based on famous mathematical puzzles like the Srinivasa Ramanujan Project and the Number Line games made abstract concepts concrete. The Ice Cream Sticks and Symmetry puzzles were head scratchers for all age groups. The Math games helped students connect math to their lives and their own experiences.
English Activities
The English section of the Academic Fair provided students with opportunities to enhance language skills through interactive and engaging activities. Learning was taken beyond textbooks to practical application. Grammar based concepts were gamified through Spin the Wheel and hopscotch, while vocabulary building activities like the Fishing Game and Joggle Pop were fun for everyone. Quizzes and idioms dumb charades were a challenge that the students picked up with eagerness. Parents and students participated enthusiastically and received stars and candies for their participation.
EVS Activities
The EVS stalls zeroes on environmental awareness and the students’ role in protecting it. Working models of the water cycle, electric circuit and hydraulic lifts were impressive examples of the students’ hard work and research. Composting and sustainable fashion formed an important part of presentation as well with Reduce-Reuse-Recycle being central to all displays. The students used eco-friendly low cost materials in their displays and confidently explained the workings of their different models.
Hindi Activities
The Hindi section presented an array of language-based activities such as Kathasagar, recitation of dohas, theatrical performances, Visheshan Sargam, unique riddles, chart presentations, model exhibitions, pictorial idioms, quick word formation and letter Snakes and Ladders. The students displayed their acumen in the language by conducting the games and participating enthusiastically in the cultural activities. Their positive attitude and stage presence brought zeal and energy to the Hindi section, with the various stalls buzzing with activity and colour.
The Academic Fair 2026 provided a platform for students to integrate knowledge with creativity. The enthusiastic participation of students and the active involvement of parents made the event impactful and gave a glimpse of the activities that make learning fun for the students. Such initiatives nurture innovation and creativity in the students and help them develop soft skills, research skills and teamwork that prepare them for the future.
Delhi Public School, East of Kailash commemorated Cambridge Day on 31st October, 2025 with immense zeal and academic fervour. Early Years 1 to Stage 3, curated its own stalls and display tables, showcasing an array of intellectually stimulating educational games meticulously organised by both teachers and students. The activities demonstrated how the Cambridge framework nurtures independent thought, strengthens communication skills and cultivates problem-solving abilities.
The celebration witnessed an impressive participation of parents, whose presence infused the atmosphere with warmth and enthusiasm. Mr. Anil Kumar, Principal, DPS RK Puram accompanied by Ms. Usha Diptivilasa, Headmistress, DPS East of Kailash, graciously toured the school grounds, appreciating the collective effort that went into facilitating the seamless facilitation of the programme.
